Shot this hand-held, iso-3200, no flash, with my 17-40mm.

Post-processing: verticals, barrel distortion correction (PT lens), bumbed shadows, increased brightness and contrast, reduced yellow saturation. Also added a slight soft effect in PS (duplicate layer and gausian blur it, then set blending to "soft light" and opacity to 80%)

I'm posting this to PFRE not because I think it's particularly good, but because I shot it handheld, iso3200, and I'd like to get your feedback on composition. I know, I know: it's too dark, the windows are blown, yadi, yadi--save those typical comments please. I ran out of time to use strobes so this had to do.

Shot on tripod, iso-400, two flash--one on camera pointed at an angle at the ceiling with a gary fong diffuser and another umbrella CR pointing at pool table. Used my 17-40mm.

Post-processing: verticals, barrel distortion correction (PT lens), bumbed shadows, increased brightness and contrast, and increased saturation...it was a wet, grey day... Also added a soft filter look in PS.

It was raining and grey like London, england or somewhere drab like that. Yes, I used a grad neutral density...I shouldn't have...it drakened the branches a bit too much.
